This first blog is a reminder of our current focus as a church: Prayer. For the next four weeks we will be teaching on prayer and practicing it in our weekly meetings. I was very excited with the way we joined into praying for workers to enter into the harvest. I know that my expectations for our corporate prayer meetings are high, but you all entered in with genuine faith and expectancy. Thank you.
Please remember to pray throughout this week for workers to enter the ripe harvest that Jesus tells us of. Keep your eyes open for opportunities to pray for people or share your testimony, or proclaim the gospel.
I am currently reading the first chapter of Just Walk across the Room by Bill Hybels. Here is a quote that I found helpful; “True followers of Christ who really get it right…give themselves to people. Most importantly, they give themselves to pointing people to faith in Christ. That is the highest and best use of a human life–to have it serve as a signpost that points people to God.” That is what I mean when I say we are praying for harvesters to enter into the harvest.
This coming week we will be praying into the churches finances. Please read through 2 Corinthians 8 and 9 this week in preparation. I know that God is supplying an abundance for every good deed. You guys are so generous and God is providing wonderfully. We want to be continually looking to God as our provider and sustainer.
Please be sure to check out the calendar for upcoming events.
